Title: problems compiling rc8

Hi, i have some problems compiling rc8...
I read the wiki (twice) and installed everything according to the rpm-approach in the wiki (at least i tried to).

configure gives this output:

                                       wxWidgets          2.5.2
                                       GTK                2.4.9

What am i doing wrong this time? Is amule not working with those versions of wxwidgets/gtk? System is suse 9.2

1. u lack gettext

2. don't use wxgtk from suse (i.e 2.5.2)

3. use the stable wx 2.4.2 or 2.5.3/cvs

hm, although i have some problems with this forum it seems, threads keep dissapearing for me.

Ah, replying to my own post as long is i had in in  my cache helped.. didnt see the new sub-forum compiling problems, thats where my threads went..

elfstone,

aMule no longer compiles on wx-2.5.1 and wx-2.5.2. Please use wx-2.5.3 if you want gtk2 or UNICODE.

Ok, i installed gettext and wxgtk 2.5.3 and compile now. Hope it works, Thx for the help in advance.

... looking good ...
... still compiling, damn i need a new cpu ...

Yeah, its workings..

thx again, maybe you should add "Dont use the Suse-rpms, they are broken" to the wikipedia.. Or was i too blind to see it again?

oh well, not only suse wxgtk rpms.. most every distri ;)
dunno if its on wiki.. don't remember
