Title: permissions screwed up in saved files
Post by: Ezeltje on February 12, 2005, 09:34:20 AM
Hi all,

I just compiled and installed the latest CVS tarball. For some reason, it appears to be screwing up file permissions on files it saves (ie, finished downloads).

Previously, aMule gave saved files the permission: -rw-r-----

Last night, the first file it saved after I installed the new version was given:-rwxrwxr-t

The next: ------S---

Then: ----------

Then again: ------S---

It obviously then started giving error messages about not being able to find these files as shares.

What's going on???

FWIW: in Preferences/Security, default file permission is set to  640.

I am also having this difficulty, although I installed from rpms.  The default file permission is 640.  Is there a way to change this in preferences, I have found no way to change this at all.  I also googled and checked the boards.
I am running 2 rc8 version on FC2.

1) Update to a never snapshot, this has been fixed since the 15th, AFAIK.
2) Check preferences->security

Thanks for the info.

As a matter of discussion and my laziness, when was the security section added?
