Title: amule killed my internet! help pls!

after i started using amule, my internet connection is dead for other applications! i tried firefox & gaim, both just can't get connected with the net....even i have closed amule!

how do i get the connection back? also i have 2 PCs connected to a router, the other one PC's internet connection is also very slow, is it amule's problem?

i've tried downloading some small files t otry out, around 10MB wmv file, but when i open it, it's just a corrupted thing, are you guys getting such files too??

lowering the max connections / 5sec will help a lot.
some routers cant handle so many connections at once.
try to reduce it to 5 - 10 and see if it does any better

for the wmv files problem might be a hardware problem of yours for example or the files are curruped in the ed2k net already. amule can download all files which are awaileble in the ed2k net file. its not a matter of the file extention.

nope. not working. my internet has no connection even without running amule at all.

please advise.

i dont think they can help, coz if i boot to windows, the connection works fine.

Then you might want to try the support forum for you distro ...
