Title: Just an idea
Post by: Thomy on February 27, 2005, 01:51:10 AM
Hi

I had a great idea just a few minutes ago. I'm downloading many series which are caught on TV (currently "24" which rocks  :D). When I'm downloading multiple Epsiodes i have the problem, that i get very much A4AF sources. So i decided to download one episode after another. To speed this up a bit (so that i don't have to see if an epsiode is ready an add the next to my download list) i thought of a download schedule. This means that you type the downloads that you want and give them an order, if you start the schedule Emule will download the queue. I think of a seperate window of Emule which also shows the status of the file (downloading, finshed, not completely shared, corrupted, not more) What do you think about this?

That's done in [ae]mule using categories, and the option to "start next paused file after file completed" so no need for this feature as I see thinkgs.

Regards.

Hmm, it's a good idea, but I think it would be easier to achieve (considering coding) with another function:
We already have "start paused download when a download finishes". What we are missing is a feature I know from emule that's "continue file from same category if possible". By implementing this option you could nearly achieve what you are talking about.

OK, it is not really capable of what you want to do... Your idea is quite interesting, too, but a little harder to implement (or at least it takes more work to achieve it).
