Title: amule doesnt even load

I have installed amule and hadnoproblem doing this however when i type amule in a terminal i get the following error msg:

error while loading shared libraries: libglib-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or no directory

i know amule is having difficulity finding the above library but i cant seem to fix this error can anyone please help???? thanx in advance

Incase anyone is having this problem I fixed it by setting the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to /user/local/lib

Hmm, try running 'ldconfig' as root to update the linker cache, that should do the trick, too :)

not always, since /usr/local/lib is in some ditros not in the lib path
