Hello there!
PROBLEM:
I have hundreds of shared files and, when I want to change the share level of some file in the "shared files" list, it is a bit painful to locate it. The same happens in the transfer list (I have a very long queue).
Ordering the list by name does not help, because most often I don't know how the file begins; I only know its name contains the word, say, "clavichord".
This discourages me from setting appropriate priorities for my shared files.
SOLUTION:
There is a very simple elegant solution: add a quick-search box on top of each list, a-la thunderbird. Once you enter a keyword in the box, after 1 second of delay, the list content is narrowed to only show the files whose name contains the keyword.
How about it?

Nice idea !

i would pay a small bounty if you implemented this feature.

I would pay 10 euro gladly. Why don't we set up a small "group action" on Fundable.org?
-
Might be a good idea (both search and bounty)

I suggest that some developer decide how much money he needs, go to fundable.org, create a group action for that amount of money, decide the expiration date for donations, start the group action, and maybe advertise it somewhere other than this forum. Then donations would begin. After the expiration date, if the overall donations have reached the needed threshold, the money is transferred and he can begin coding and release the patch. Otherwise, no one pays anything.

I'm not sure that's a good idea seguso, since aMule project is not (in my opinion) intended to be a source of profit for the developers or anyone, but a source of enjoyment and learning for everybody (developers, users, testers, etc...) so I don't see this offering of putting price to develop a feature as a good thing. Of course, everybody is free to disagree with me ;)
Regards.

Why can't it be both? ?(

It surely can. Code is GPL, if someone wants to receive money do it, and someone else wants to pay or donate, I see no problems and the additions will certainly be welcome.
Cheers!
