Please put kademilia support higher on your priorities list. I don't see it mentioned for 2.0 final. It's very important for finding sources. I conducted an experiment that proves my point. I tried to download the same file(s) with eMule+Kad and got all sources within seconds, then did it with aMule and it took hours to find the same sources.
If all clients had it built in we could do away with servers altogether and use them only like Gnutella's web caches, to help connect initially. That would also take care of shared files limits and the guilt of overloading servers.

Kad huh... never thought of including it... I'll take a look at your idea in some months....

DLH: looking at the 2nd page of feature request would have should you that its been requested already a lot of times...
we are working on it, but our main focus is atm at 2.0 final

We use the eMule spelling "Kad" or Kademlia.

Spelling it correctly will give you slightly more hits. It's "Kademlia". ;)
ED: Damn, Mr Faber beat me to it .... Hmm, I wonder if an admin can change the timestamp on posts ... *evil grin*

Sure, lets bicker about spelling of artificial words now when it had "coming soon" status ever since I can remember.

The point of the corrections was "Had you searched for the right expression the answer would have come to you!". And if you really want Kad that bad (I don't see the big advantage right now besides from being independent from servers, you get your sources from a server or by source exchange anyway) you are always welcome to take a close look at the sourcecode and submit patches  ;)
