heho

well first of all, of course you can get all those  programms from yast, so dont worry about compiling ;)
you need

-- curl
--gtk1
--gettext
--gd2-devel
--png-devel

and like you said wxGTK , wxGTK-devel and wxBase,
make sure to use OURs from the dl page, because the once from SuSE will not work

stefanero

PS. btw rpm has a great feature, when you install something it will tell you ALL th dependencies, so basically when you try to install amule and you miss something it will tell you whats missing

And one more nice thing!
If you're using something like 'yum' and you have basic repos configured, yum will automaticly solve aMule's dependencies (as mr. stefanero wrote above), and all the deps for the packages needed for aMule, on so on; and it will finally download and install them all.   :)

indeed, out of the box apt is not included. - but one can get the necessary .rpms (atm apt-0.5.15cnc6-rb.suse092.6.i586.rpm and apt-libs-0.5.15cnc6-rb.suse092.6.i586.rpm) e.g. from  http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/9.2-i386/RPMS.suser-rbos, and install them... ;)
and:
it seems to work. ;)
a little (german) howto for newbies about apt can be found here:

hmm no clue...why it fails maybe the file has moved

but btw: you have SuSE and the link is for altlinux ;) so maybe check that...you should make sure you download excatly the right version for your 9.2

otherwise you get dependencies problems, and that is why you should use Yast since it only has the right versions.

btw: just try ti install amule now, forget about curl and so on for a sec and see if it works
rpm has a dependencies check if you lack something importand it will tell ya

Hello All,
Thanks for all the answers and discussion.
On my older HD the aMule was installed and work perfectly.
So I know that worthy the work.
At this time I have problem to repeat that success.
May be I am complicated but shure I am a quite starter at Linux.
My question is if possible to make, to develop one by one a table what shows what kind of Linux what need to install?
It was make an easier work for all.
Best regards,
Laci

could you maybe just state what happens if you try to install the SuSE rpm?

rpm -Uvh aMule....

and then post the output if it does not work. since this output will tell you what you still need to install. its pretty simple acutally.

Hello stefanero,
Thanks for ask.
I installed version 2.00rc8-2 on RPM.
It went without problem and now I set up the things as I like, I mean I make some little corrections.
It looks work well. Will comment about in 2 weeks. (I have uest and also not want wrrite immediately the things as I made earlier.
What I wrote about the list making was just a general things,,. I think such a lists could help a lot to show what kind of Linux what files he need to see installed, etc
Best regards,
laci
