hi, i got a new mac this week and switched from my pc. i tried to install amule and everything worked right away.
then i added another account for my boyfriend and tried to copy the program in my dump box. we fingered with some of the access right but did not get it to work. then we just deleted his account.
now i wanted to reinstall amule on my account but when i have finished downloading it and try to open amule the following appears:

well on linux I would to a
chmod a+rwx /Users/doloressanchez/.aMule/logfile
in console.
this will reset the rights so that everybode can read/write to this specific logfile. I guess that should solve the problem.
if you have no downloads yet, or no importand once you can also, as a 2nd option, delete teh
.aMule dir
in /Users/doloressanchez/
and then aMule restarts, it should create a new one aswell...with all teh default files
hope taht helps

hi stefanero,
thanks for your help. i don´t ahve any experiences in linux, so i am not sure if your first tip will help me.
as far as the 2nd tip, there is no amule dir in my finder. i used the search option but there are no files left in my directory. that is the strange thing to me. the only thing left is the unzipped amule i downloaded and the log file from the constant crashes in the log directory.

well its a hidden!! dir...and I heard finder had some troubel "finding it" ;)
maybe try the console and see if it pops up with
ls -la
in your home dir, if so use
rm -r .aMule
to remove it ;) afterall Mac comes from Unix so this commands should do I think :)

i finally got it to work. thanks a lot for your help stefanero!

Es que he supuesto que tal vez podía preguntarte a tí algo y entender sin problemas tu respuesta. Esto es en inglés o en inglés, y no hay más para escoger.
Gracias por lo que sea.
