Title: Previewing
Post by: Drewby76 on April 04, 2005, 01:58:05 AM
Hi guys,

I am used to using emule on Windows, but have recently installed amule on my new mac. I cannot figure out how to preview a video file that I am downloading. Firstly how do I actually select preview (no right click button on macs!)? And secondly what program to people recommend for previewing on macs?

Cheers

Drew.

Right-click is ctrl-click then preview but the preview doesn't work i think ! my solution is to open .part files in temp's directory with mplayerX or VLC by default ...

for previewing and viewing in general i strongly suggest VLC.

1. in Preferences>Directories>Video Player enter "open -a VLC" (without quotes).
1a. checking "Clreate backup to preview" does not work, but it's no problem with VLC.

2. previewing for some file types only works, if you have at least the first and the last chunk. therefore check: Preferences>Files>Try to download first and last chunks first

3. right-click (control-click) on the file in the download list and select 'preview [123.part]' from the popup menu.
