Title: import from windows emule. new problem
Post by: rajasi on April 11, 2005, 03:57:50 PM
Hi mates,

first of all, i've tried to search in the forum and on internet for my problem but i didn't get any ideas or solution to solve it.

The issue is when i try to import my part/bak/met file from Temp dir of Emule for windows to Temp dir of Amule for Linux (distro suse 9.2, amule 2.0.0rc8 on wxGTK2 v2.5.2)

after the copy, i restart aMule and get this errors in the log:
11/04/2005 12:12:30:
Unable to open /home/tommy/.aMule/Temp/002.part.met (XHJ.avi)
11/04/2005 12:12:30:
Try to make the backup of the met file on 002.part.met.bak
11/04/2005 12:12:30:
Unable to open /home/tommy/.aMule/Temp/002.part.met (XHJ.avi)
11/04/2005 12:12:34:
Unable to open file '/home/tommy/.aMule/Temp/002.part'

i've translated the error message from my lang to english, so i don't know if the original english error message are the same or similar.

Btw, anybody could help me to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance, indeed.

ps: I've just tried to query in the italian forum but i didn't get any answer, not yet.

did you check that your permssions are correct?

I guess you copied them to that dir, right?

ther permissions are correct.
i've copied the files from emul 'win' dir to amule 'linux' dir...
the files have the same permissions/ownership of the folder..

any other suggestion?

-can you create a new dl and see if that opens right? and then check if permissions are teh same as the other temp files taht do no open
-also in the files whcih do not open, are tehre any non-ascii letters in there? any umlauts or anything?

btw, did you recompile rc8 yourself ?
since we dont provide rc8 with buggy wx2.5.2
