Title: problems with aMule and Red Hat 2.4.20-20.9

Ive recently installed Red Hat and i had a lot of problems whit the USB ADSL modem but finally i could connect.

now im trying to instal aMule but i get some problems:


[maikel@localhost descargas]$ rpm -Uvh aMule-1.2.1-2.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
        wxBase >= 2.4.0 is needed by aMule-1.2.1-2
        libwx_base-2.4.so.0 is needed by aMule-1.2.1-2
        libwx_base-2.4.so.0(WXBASE_2.4) is needed by aMule-1.2.1-2
[maikel@localhost descargas]$ rpm -Uvh wxBase-2.4.2-1.i586.rpm

[maikel@localhost descargas]$ rpm -Uvh wxBase-2.4.0-1.i386.rpm

[maikel@localhost descargas]$ ./amule

[maikel@localhost descargas]$ rpm -Uvh zlib-1.2.1-0.i386.rpm

        zlib = 1.1.4 is needed by (installed) zlib-devel-1.1.4-8
[maikel@localhost descargas]$ rpm -q zlib
zlib-1.1.4-8

hello,

is the $ at the end of [maikel@localhost descargas]$ means that u are not root when istalling ?

if yes , become root to install rpms

yes, was it. the instrutions said not to install in root mode  :?

u can't install rpms as user
