Title: "Message to all" option
Post by: rebroad on May 02, 2005, 12:21:35 AM
I'd like to be able to send a message to either all people downloading a particular file from me (or in the queue to do so), or all people uploading a file to me (or in the queue to do so). I am often having to go through the list of people and paste a pre-edited message to all of them, and this feature would save a lot of time. I'm sure it would be easy to do, just right click on the file instead of the person, right click and click on "send message to all" or something like that.

The code would just be a loop through the list of people that you see when you expand the user list for that file.

This is such an easy thing to code, I should be ashamed of myself for not doing it myself - umm.. my excuse is that I've not worked out how to use CVS yet....

That's not a reason. (you can't)
You can use the daily CVS tarballs, and post patches on the Development board.

With a message you can reach all ppl connected to you, a comment reahces even the ppl that are downloading the file a week later.
