Title: bigger than two gigabyte file ?
Post by: domino on January 08, 2004, 09:08:11 PM
Sorry if this has already been discussed or appeared in changelog but
i can't found any reference for it :

Is amule able to download (and upload) file bigger than two gigabyte ?

I am wondering that because:
1) i used xmule and it didn't seem to work well for that big size files,
2) the size displayed (using amule) on the transfer tab is 2,00 for files that are bigger ( let say 2,5 GB )

(system used is mandrake 9.2 up to date with kernel 2.4.22-21mdkenterprise

Thank you.

As the search of the forum don't work for little words (<3 letters),
i put here some keywords for future desperate users as me ;-)
two gigabyte - bigger than - big file size - file size limitation

So no one can tell me if it is possible to download and upload a file
bigger than 2GB ?

I have seen posts about file size descriptor but the only error i get is
corrupted part ....

Can somemone tell me if yes or not amule is able to take into account file
bigger than 2GB ? If not , is it possible to prohibit such files to be downloaded
an uploaded, because it makes no sense to try them if they won't work ?
