Hi all:
amule-cvs20050112 was working very well. In 2004 amuled was a speed problem that was solved begining 2005.
Monday i downloaded amule 2.0.0, compile and install. amulegui is so perfect for me.....
Well, the problem. Now, amuled (2.0.0) upload to Internet very few traffic. However, if I stopped amuled-2.0.0 and start amuled-cvs20050112 I upload to Internet a lot of traffic (until my upBWLimit).
Is there any problem with amuled-2.0.0 ?
Thanks in advance, errico2

Not a problem that I'm aware about. I don't believe that there's some difference between amule-cvs20050112 and 2.0 (in socket code ), but will make a check.

Thanks, ifroen.
You can be sure that it should be any difference. If you need any information about my amule, Linux box....., please ask me.

How match data we're talking about ? CVS versions uploading about 10kbps for me.

Hi ifroen:
I have a lot ot bandwith.........
With amuled-cvs20050112 I upload to Internet upto my upbwlimit: 1000 kB/second.
With amuled 2.0.0 I can't upload to Internet more than 40kB/second.
I suppose that if only 10kB/s can be upload to Internet, there is no difference between amuled-cvs20050112 and amuled 2.0.0.

I might know why...

Works great since i emerged last ebuild from bugs.gentoo.org (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71108).
So I don't think it's a amule's bug
PS: Sorry for my english :D
-
Sorry nikro for the delay, but i had a lot of work......
I don't understand what you want to say, my english.....
Why it is not a amule's bug ?
Regards, errico2

nikro: well, it is amuled bug. But it's not something I can really fix. The problem is, that it behaves badly under some network/kernel/os condition(s). Since it works for me, I can't reproduce it. The difference between amule and amuled is in networking code which looks ok to me.
At my machine/network/kernel it doesn't leak sockets, it doesn't crash, uploads same traffic as regular amule does etc etc. So the only resolt is to debug it down to the code @ machine where it fails.

Please, ask me what you need.

As I say earlier "But it's not something I can really fix. " - it's true for current code.
Due to fair amount of complains regarding network performance, I've decided to put an effort to re-write network layer (to better side of cause)
So, amuled network code is being worked on. Have faith :)
