Title: Connection fails after a while

Hi everyone :D I have a problem, when I start amule everything seems to work fine, it downloads, uploads.... The problem is that after a while (and I think after a download goes back to waiting), it fries the connection to internet, and I have to use netcardconfig to set it right again. I use kanotix and guardog as firewall ( but it allows the ports amule uses ). Anyone knows why? thanks in advance  :P

hmm never heard of such problem...

you have a highID and such things?

yes, I had highID, everything seems to work fine until the connection  breaks ?(

are you connected to the internet via a router?
or is dsl/cable -modem right connected to your linux box?

so the cable modem is directly in your pc?

can you tell me your settings for max conn/5sec? and your overall max connections? maybe they are a little to high..

lets see:    max sources per file:300    max connections:500  max new connections /5 sec:20 and  Im using  amule 2.0.1. By the way, lots of thanks :)

well my router crashed here with connections / 5sec with 20...maybe your cable modem does not like this aswell...try a 10 here.
but hte rest of the settings is fine...

have you tryed disable guarddog...and see if that works...
maybe thats teh problem, I am just guessing...
