Meta information tags are very useful when you're trying to chose the apropiate file to download. In the search tab it can help us to determine the bitrate/quality of a video file if no information is provided around the web (lenght/size). Furthermore, It's common for us to find the same video with different lenghts, so we can chose the right file.
After, when file is downloading, in emule client there are a lot of information we can get from the context menu: codec, bitrate, fps, lenght, aspect ratio...
For those who download mainly video files, this is an essential feature ;)
