Hi guys and girls and some other apperances ;)
I've opened the Thread because I would like to collect some Optimization Tips. Didn't found a Thread with this topic so I posted a new one. I think it is a good Idea because lots of people using amule and emule don't know what "hard limit" or "max connections" really mean. I want to say, they don't know how different setting will change the aMule performance.
So it's up to you!! ...show me your settings an give an explaining for that or just give adivces or hints
Here is my first:
There is an formular for the hard limit given by emule-project...guess I posted it before:
8000 / [number of downloads] = [hard limit to set]
this methodic is useful because if it is set to high, amule is also searching for sources, but even slower and it will eat a lot of time until you get in queues. Even so it will get a huge utilization by the connected server which takes effect on the whole emule network!!!
So give it a try ;)
