I'm using the Debian CVS version (aMuled CVS using wxGTK2 v2.5.3 (Unicoded) (Snapshot: Fri Jun 10 07:01:28 CEST 2005) ) and the same thing happens, amule and amuled crash if Temp is not empty...
I also tried this:
1 - start amule with empty Temp dir
2 - start downloading some file
3 - close amule, while file is at middle
4 - starting amule again will crash because of the temporary file I started downloading.
So it's really bad... hope it's an easy fix.

it happens with CVS20050610 version too
-
ps. I've downloaded the Debian cvs of 4 of June, and it works fine... (I didn't try the 9 of June version, because the poster who started this thread was already using that version, and since it gave him the same problem I skipped it)
-
cvs20050608 (.deb package) also worked well
