I'm kind of new to the whole emule credit system and was wondering how to find out how many credits I have. I looked in /.aMule/ for a credits.dat file but it wasn't there. Is credits the same as the score other clients will see me on their queue?
Also, how can I maximize those credits? I share many small files and prefer to have my queue go faster so I would rather allocate 2x10k rather than 10x2k slots, but I don't know if that's the optimal or not. How are credits calculated?

Credits are stored on the other user's mule. So, you have credits for each user, depending on how much you uploaded to him/her.
There is no way to know the credits you have, just the credit's OTHER'S have on your mule.
But don't worry much about credits. You'll download anyway. Just let upload work, either 10x2 or 2x10, and you'll get better QR
