Title: Kad Status: Kinnda good
Post by: Kry on July 08, 2005, 03:24:52 AM
Let me get this clear:

a) Kad is not functional yet on current CVS
b) The Kad release (2.1.0) will not be soon. There's still work to be done.

And now that I made that clear...

Nice isn't it? ;)

Non functional on current CVS. I'm showing my progress on it. And you're a rude annoying guy that has just earned his first warning on forum, and it's not the first time you deserve it :) Enjoy!

Good to see this progress - a new ideas are very good, and this feature is cause not only version number changing, but a HUGE improvement, by the way when kad will be ready maybe it'll be time for "grand" release of aMule version 3.0?
Anyway, it'll be really big date, when you implement kad and release it. Thanks for developing of this nice prog.

Thanks to you all for your support!

To clarify some stuff, Kad is working kinnda nice this days. Mostly the GUI stuff and the search is missing, connecting to kad, and getting sources for the already downloading files seems to be working nicely, except for some but on kad firewalled sources that seem not to be reachable right now.

And the Kad enabled release will be 2.1.0. And I would say no less than 2 weeks, and no more than 1 month. I could be wrong tho ;)

Hi,

Thanks Kry to let us know how aMule progress. I'm excited by this...  :P

You guys rock !  :baby:

Any idea about CPU consumsion or Memory usage Kad will require ?

Are downloads better with kad or is it just another way to find files and exchange sources ?

Thanks for paying attention to my words.

Regards

KAD is just another network to find sources and search files, it does affect the download speed just indirectly (if you have veeeery rare files, where you just find sources over KAD,  along time ago on eMule I had some small files with one source, that I just found over KAD-Search + the source only over KAD [even if emule claimed, that the Source was connected to a server] )
