Why wxgtk2.6 deb from vollestrecker needs gtk1.2 and not gtk2? ... gtk1.2 are really ugly :D
and .. vollstrecker, thanks for your packages.
-
We don't do that packages. We don't decide about that packages. We don't give support about that packages. We just put news up when someone does something for the comunity, like this debian packages stuff.
For suport on that matters, you can contact that guy. You know his nick, you can write him a PM here or mail him, his contact info is on the package as well.
We do the code, that's all. For third-party binaries like this one, you have to contact the person that created it.
-
Ok Kry, you have the reason. I'll contact with Vollestrecker.
Thanks for your answer.

I adopted the wx-pkg's from thedude, but afaik wx-2.6 and gtk2 don't work very well together.
-
The point is that in some setups the use of gtk2 has caused severe memleaks. That's why I chose gtk1.2, just a matter of stability and resource friendliness being more important than eye candy to me ;)
-
Now, wxgtk2.6 are in debian/experimental but the names of packages are changed.
-
Oh, looks like they got the license problems figured out... And the naming as "libwxgtk2.6" is not new, that's just the way Debian names library packages...
-
Why are they named different? When I look at mine, they are the same, and I think thedude's are named the same way.
-
I want to say that, now, the package in experimental "libwxbase2.6" don't exists, i confused it with "wx-2.6-common"
