Hi!
I wan't to share the same configuration for amule between my account and my sister's in the same PC.
I tried add both to a new group and link my /home/me/.aMule/ dir to /home/her/.aMule and chowning all files to me:amule, but amule then chowns all files back to me:me so I can't read any files from her account.
did I miss any howto or something? I couldn't find anything in the help page and the forums.
any sugestions?

I can't read any files from her account.
And you should not. That's why it called "her account". Create separate account and group for amule. Make yourself and your sister members in this group. Set permission of incoming files in amule preferences as you like.

Aaah, you mean 3 accounts? me, my_sister and amule?
I'll try that! Thanls for the quick answer!

Nope... That didn't work.
I still have the same problem: when I start amule, it chowns the downloaded parts and some config files to me:me. ¿How do I avoid that? ¿How do I tell amule to preserve the file owners?
Maybe I should I said this before: This is amule 2.0.0 under Ubuntu Hoary

rgoro: you should run amule(d) under it's own account, AND group, say amule. Next, you should go to amule preferences and set incoming files be "read/write to group". Make yourself and your sister members of this group too. Make home folder of user "amule" read/write for group.

There is a palce on preferences so you can set the permision of the completed files.

hummm ok... I'll try both suggestions
Thanks!!
