I've been wondering if my amuled/amuleweb is working properly. I keep uploading and uploading and not getting much downloads. Someone please look at my statistics and tell me if it looks right. I am connected to razorback2 and have highid. Since I'm a relatively new user I suppose I don't have much credit? I don't really understand the crediting system. Anyway here are my stats:

Also, does this look right? no IP filter information is loaded??? I thought IP filter was pretty important...

well to load IP filter you need an ipfilter.dat, check the forum there are a couple threads where you can download one....
about the downloads, if you download rare files it can take some time to start, especially when you are new to the ed2k network read:
http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/AMule_is_slow
and
http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/FAQ_eD2k-Kademlia#What_is_all_that_credits,_rate_and_score_stuff_about?
hope that helps

What's the max upload speed of your internet connection? Perhaps you are maxing your upstream.
BTW,
Clients
Total: 194 Known: 9
looks a bit curious to me. ~95% unknown clients? Anyone else thinks that's strange?
-
Well I built the latest greatest CVS and now everything is working as usual.. well.. almost. My downloads are downloading, which is great, but my search isn't working (amuleweb search that is)
Anyone else having problems with amuleweb's search?
When I put in my query and click search, the page just blanks.. it dosen't open the results...
I asked twice on IRC and didn't get any response so either they a) don't care b) don't know or c) are sleeping

if you start in the ed2k network this is very normal, since how are you soppused to know someone, if you never ran aMule before...
and for the diveben I vote for c) ;)
how did you install aMuleweb? and start amuleweb? the rest of the pages works fine?

I was under the impression that a client would become known after the intial connect/handshake with that client, and that should have happend after 7 hours connected. Nevermind.

fz, you're right. I vote for some very low Max Connections setting.

well I am downloading now, which is good, but still.. my search function isn't working.. I also tried using the chicane template without any success. I don't understand what happened everything was working fine then poof. I really would like to get my search working.. no one else has had a similar problem?? I installed the latest CVSes (aug 17th and 18th) by compiling from source. I'm running debian sarge and I have a pretty new wxgtk or widgets or whatever (wx-config --version says 2.6.1)
I'm at a complete loss as to why my search isn't working but everyone else has no problem =(

hav you tryed changing the server you are connected to?
-
yep, I changed it from some IP server to Razorback 2.. it dosen't seem like it is even doing the search.. I click it and then the page just goes blank.. it is very hard to explain so I'll throw in 2 screen shots..

Notice the search query ;) haha
and then I click search.. and then...

real strange..you run normal aMule or daemon?
-
Hi!
I just compiled and installed today's snapshot (20050819) and experience the same behaviour with the search function.
I'm running amuled and amuleweb on Debian Sarge. Webbrowser is mostly Mozilla 1.7.10 under WinXP or some Linux.
After clicking the search-button I have the same (partly) empty web mask. Being a curious person I did a little research, and found the problem (or so I hope).
This is the URL, which is sent, when I click the search button
http://my-server.tld:4711/?ses=1234567890&w=search&tosearch=cisco+firmware&type=Any&min=&max=&avail=&ext=&method=server&ses=1234567890&w=search
I noticed, that these two parameters at the end of the URL
&ses=1234567890&w=search
were already used at the very beginning of it. I manually edited the URL and removed these extraneous two parameters and it worked as it should...

Radek- I just noticed that too.. I came on here to post my "solution" but you beat me to it! Good eye tho. I guess I just gotta fix that code or something? or maybe it'll be fixed in the next CVS.
stefanero- I am running the daemon.
Question, is it 'ok' to run the amuleweb by enabling it in the amule.conf, or should I always start it manually as a seperate process? It seems convenient to have it auto start, but it makes a ton of threads and stuff and I'm not sure if that is the right way to do it.
I'm talking about changing
[WebServer]
Enabled=0 -> 1
-
diveben, enabling auto-start of the webserver is fine. The threads are either 1) just the same threads that amuleweb would create when started manually, or 2) sitting there idle, using no resources, waiting for the webserver process to exit.

URL problem fixed. Believe it or not, it was a template bug.
