Hi all!!
Long time since no talk here...OK, I just downloaded this CVS version (19-08-2005) and compiled it, I wanted to see the kad support and stuff. Funny thing is, I see no tab for selecting kad, or connecting to it. My info bar says "kad:off)" even though I have it selected on preferences, and I'm sure I did the --enable-compile-kad switch. Is this supposed to be that way? or are my configuration files wrong? last amule version I used was the CVS from a month ago (07-07 IIRC). Using wxGTK 2.6.0 with unicode and GTK2, BTW. Thanks for any help...and sorry for being with no internet connection so long :(
Regards.

There is no tab for Kad. You can choose to connect to Kad in preferences > connection (afair - don't use it atm).

The GUI has not yet been updated to fully reflect Kad. One consequence of this is that starting Kad is a little strange. Kad is started if you let aMule auto-connect on startup or if you click the Connect button on the toolbar to connect. If, on the other hand, you select a server and manually connect to it (double-click it, or right-click and choose Connect from the context menu), then only the ed2k network is started and Kad is not.

Thanks for the hint, ken. That really explains why my kad is off. I never use the Connect button (since it connects to random server, usually the tiny ones) but I usually double-click razorback2.

You can use the priority system to control which servers are auto-connected first. Also, there's the "only auto-connect to static servers" preference setting.

But definitively Kad wen there will be in amule I on winzoz with mod I used only kad and f**k server fake............. :(
