Title: crash on exit
Post by: morph on August 21, 2005, 11:53:20 PM
Hi,
I've configured confirm on exit.

First, even if answer no to "Are you sure you want to exit", aMule exits gracefully.

But, if ansering no, and than click again on the top-right X to close aMule again, than crashes with this report:

----------------------------=| BACKTRACE FOLLOWS: |=----------------------------
Current version is: aMule CVS using wxGTK2 v2.6.1 (Unicoded) (Snapshot: Sun Aug  7 07:01:59 CEST 2005)
Running on: Linux 2.6.12-1-686-smp i686

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Attached the backtrace as explained in http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Backtraces

thanks

thnx for the backtrace :)

next time please just add it to the post as normal "code" section or something, since downloading is much more work ;)

morph,

Just a little fact about backtraces, there is no point in doing bt full if you do not have debug information compiled. A plain bt is enough.

Anyway, thanks for the report! :)

Cheers!

Sorry, I've just followed the instructions on Becktraces wiki page... ;)

Just a clarification: please note even than clicking on "No" at the question if you'd really like to close aMule, the client do exit!!!! That's not so fair, because clicking by mistake on window X you'll close aMule ANY answer you give.

Bye

Yes, I checked it right now with the most current cvs version. I answered 'No' to the exit confirmation question, and aMule kept running happily. No exit, no crash.

morph, could you please try with a fresh new CVS tarball (preferably 2005-08-23) if you can still produce that ignorant behaviour of aMule?

Right: with CVS@20050823 this issue doesn't come.

Sorry for reporting a closed bug.

don't worry, we all do mistakes. That's why you get bugs ;)
