Title: How do I set the default server to connect to?
Post by: alexliz on September 01, 2005, 11:29:20 AM
Each time I run aMule on OS X Tiger, I have to manually connect to my favorite server. Any way I can do this automatically?

set your favorite one to static, and enable in prefs "connect to static servers" first, or smth alike

well one thing you can do:

-shut down amule(d)

- edit the file staticservers.dat in your .aMule folder
and add the server like

195.245.244.243:4661,0,Razorback 2

then edit amule.conf and set the line

AutoConnectStaticOnly=0

to 1

restart amule(d) all should be fine ;)

have fun

You can also use the server priority system.  That's what it's there for.  Set your favorite server(s) to high priority and enable Connection: "Autoconnect on startup" and Server: "Use priority system".

One thing to note: the priority for a static server is frozen at the time you make it static.  So, if you have a server that you want to be both high priority and static, make it high priority first, then set it to be static.
