Hello,
I'm running an old amule ( 2.0.0rc8 ) on a PC with MDK10
This PC doesn't have screen, it's a HTTP and FTP server, and amule client.
Problem is i can't update my mule with new versions (don't ask me why).
I was thinking that a live CD, with only the necessary (HTTPD and PROFTPD included) and the latest version of amule, would be great.
This way i'd just have to boot my comp with this CD, and i'd get a fresh server with latest amule on it. No need of installing and configuring an OS, etc.
A new live cd would be released after each new version of amule. Good idea isn't it? Now who wants to do it? :)) :baby:

I have a feeling it would be much easier to just figure out why you apparently can't update your amule install... ;)

and if you want to make a live cd yourself
check out
http://www.knoppix.net
and they alos have wiki pages on howto remaster the live-cd to your needs, not that hard.

Has anyone did something like this?
Im thinking of using an old P400 64MB for an amule client, and a live cd like this would be fantastic.

I just reinstalled my server.. with Ubuntu
