Title: SuSE 10.0 installation failure // Solved
Post by: cdb on October 16, 2005, 05:28:36 PM
Hi all,

Since there is no SuSE 10.0 rpm, I decided to use the 9.3 rpm instead.

However aMule was not willing to start up properly. I deinstalled and installed from source. I am now getting the following error:
Code: [Select]
amule: error while loading shared libraries: libbfd-2.15.94.0.2.2.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I do have libbfd installed, but a newer version of it, for some kind of reason it will not accept it...

Anybody got any help for me (or a SuSE 10.0 rpm)?

Thanks,
Patrick

Oh, ihmselbst was faster...thanks for creating the RPM! :baby:

by chance. ;)
btw:
the "small" rpm was still built with the SuSE-10.0RC1, and contains just amule. the bigger one was already built with the SuSE-10.0 final. but indeed, both seem to work so far on SuSE-10.0 final as well.

For anybody reading this after... don't forget to install the wxGTK libs from the SuSE 10 DVD/CD, you need them to install/run aMule.
