I compiled aMule GUI for Mac a few month ago and at that time it worked.
In order for it to work, you need to copy the binary into an application package and edit some settings.

ken has actually prepared an app package that is ready-to-use with your self compiled amule gui binary, see here (http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?threadid=6102). :)

Great news. Thx.

However i am a complete dummy when it comes to compile anything.

Any place where to find the binary? amule.org don“t have it in download section. :-(

There is a very comprehensive How to compile aMule on Mac OS X (http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/HowTo_compile_on_Mac) guide on the wiki.

If you don't feel comfortable compiling the GUI yourself I might post a separate package containing amule gui, amulecmd, and amuled together with my next CVS build -- I was thinking about doing that for some time now anyway.

I'll give it a try. ;-)

Anyway, your suggestion to post a "daemon" package along with the standalone aMule is a nice idea. I've no doubt aMule users will be glad to have more ways of running aMule.

Oops, I just realized that you want to control a Linux aMule. Here is the problem: Whenever you use one of the "controlling apps" like amuleweb, amulecmd, and amule-gui, they need to match the version number of the "to-be-controlled apps" like aMule and amuled. If I now go ahead and post a current CVS build of amule-gui, you won't be able to use that for controlling your Linux aMule (which is most likely 2.0.3) because they are not the same version.

I don't really want to build the old 2.0.3 amule-gui because a lot has improved since then, but once 2.1.0 is out, I will post amule-gui and you will be able to use that to control the 2.0.1 Linux mule. How does that sound?

Didn't noticed the version stuff.

Well, it seems that i'm stuck with web remote for the moment.

Waiting 'til v2.1.0 is out.

Thx for all.  :-)
