Which aMule version are you using? 2.0.3 does not support compressed server.met files but the CVS versions support them since a couple month.

Thanks Lionel77. Was on 2.0.3 and now using CVS version and unfortnuately still the same problem.

Is aMule frozen after you hit the "get server list" button or does the list simply not show up?
There was/is an issue where amule would freeze or crash upon downloading the server list on some machines. I was primarily concerned with amule's CPU hogging behavior lately, so I haven't stayed on top of this server list issue.
Anyhow, you can always download the server list and put it into your aMule folder manually:
- click on http://www.gruk.org/server.met.gz. That should download the file server.met.gz which OS X automatically unpacks into server.met
- take that server.met file and put it into "Library/Application Support/aMule" inside your home folder
- start aMule and you should have a working server list
Hope this helps. :)

Someone should do a new Mac binary. I fixed several stuff related to this yesterday/today.
-
Someone is probably gonna post a new Mac binary within the next two hours...

Thank heaps. It's all go!

Do you mean the new binary fixed your problem or that you decided to manually download the server.met based on my instructions?
I did a little bit of testing on my home machine and the server list download doesn't work but amule didn't crash or freeze either. Unfortunately, my vnc connection to that machine is unbearably slow right now (10-20s for a single refresh) so I need to wait a bit until I can do some more thorough testing.
