Title: Too few sources in amule!
Post by: slayer on December 23, 2005, 05:10:20 PM
Hello,

My amule does not find enough sources - I know it sounds like a newbie question but thats exactly that problem which I have. Emule for example finds many more sources than I can get with amule. Even if I add some new file for downloading - amule does not strives itself to get some sources.

That means, that my new added file is having a red progress bar and the source counter (e.g. queue ranking in amule) stays at zero. But amule suddenly can find some (not much) sources if I restart the software.

Is there someone who has an idea? It's not important how bad that idea is...I would be happy about every response

----
By the way - how is my english?

I think this is fixed in CVS, you may try Vollstreckers builds (http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?threadid=5776&sid=) if you've testing or compile 'em (see wiki)

Another issue may be a bad ipfilter.dat, replacing/deleting it may help.

BTW: Your english is good.

Unfortunately I'm using debian stable...it seems that I have to compile it. But it seems that aMule is finding many sources after a long period of time... so I just have to wait that time :)

I'm used to get the sources with eMule very quickly but that could be the result from the standard support of kad...

However, amule is nice and I like it! Thanks to the developers and also to the members which tried to help me! :)
