As per usual, we are a wee bit late, but hopefully it'll have been worth the wait. The new release, aMule v2.1.0, the "I just teased you with this release till 2006" version. This release is dedicated to our great tester Citroklar, for reasons known to him.
Among other things, this release add the frequently requested support for the Kademlia network, a php enabled webserver and many, many other enhancements. For the full changelog, click here (http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Changelog_2.1.0).
Please note that this version of aMule requires wxWidgets v2.6.0 or newer, and will neither compile nor function with earlier version of wxWidgets. Complaints about this can be forwarded to me, and will be promptly ignored.
As with every release, we provide sources for the majority of system, and binaries for a select few platforms (Win32 and MacOSX). To download, click here (http://www.amule.org/files/files.php?cat=24)
The following files are available on the ED2K network:

What about a 64-bit binary for AMD64? Is it possible to compile one like you can for Linux?
-
I have no 64bits windows available. I ttry to get a box that has it tho. it's an interesting thing to do.
-
Is it not possible to crosscompile, make a 64-bit binary on 32-bit system? As far as I understood this should be possible.
-
you can cross compile the other way ;)
if you have the 32b libs installed and so on...
-
hi, :D

thanks for this, also thanks for the import stuff, I need to copy some parts also from aMule but I did not want to go into the hastle of renaming the files (I already had some parts with the same name, ie xx.part) and changing the mets too, so I'm happy :)

You're welcome Kry. Even though you hate us all, you still recognize you need us ;)

Of course. I always said, no app is real without some nice, users. Ok, a lot of users ;)
We would be nothing without them... no motivation to work, if it's not for the people.
-
Thanx, keep the good work;)

Hi,
I use Ubuntu Breezy 5.10 and I made a .deb package using checkinstall. You can download the package from this location: http://www.ptlug.org/download/packages/amule_2.1.0-2_i386.deb
-
Hey guys, when will be updated the debian's repository?
deb http://amule-debian.dyndns.org/ debian/
I have tried to updated, but it doesn't work :(. Somebody knows another mirror for downloading the last amule version in splited packages ( like amuled, amulecmd, amulegui etc...) ?
-
We have no debian repository. contact the guy that hosts it.
-
the guy is thedude0001 :P
-
Great work!
I've compiled 2.1.0 in the NSLU2 and runs flawlessly!
Thank you all
-
Well it runs on NSLU2 thanks to you. That's why you're on the changelog ;)
-
Great Kry!!!!!
All the linux users clap you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, after the Kad networks, what will be your next target implemented in CVS relase?
-
Ah, creía que era porque soy coruñés ;-)
-
Hello,
just a stupid question but howcome the node is from an overnet forum :
http://download.overnet2000.de/nodes.dat
?
It feels strange, as if I remember correctly *Mule and MM versions of kademlia are not compatible, so it should not be a node for overnet right ?
-
No, that's the site name. The nodes are for Kad network, not for overnet. Check http://www.overnet2000.de/, it says "nodes.dat (eMule)"

English forum!
(Pues no, no era por eso. Cuando donas una birra en algun bar? :P)
-
ok sorry for the stupid question then :)
-
Great thanks to all de developpers ! :baby:
-
in case some people did not notice yet
we have a user-contributed binary forum now
http://forum.amule.org/board.php?boardid=69
feel free to add your 2.1.0 binaries there...
also if people are looking for binaries for some distros this is teh place you should check
-
HEllo,
just to say that this release works very well here,
I think it's the best aMule version I had (maybe thanks to the kad implementation).
Download is good, upload is too, and Kad is there too, what can I ask now ;)

I updated it today (that is fixed it after I screwed up on wx update and then left the repository in a broken state because some personal trouble hit me real bad and I simply took the repository offline so people wouldn't screw their amule installations with it). Sorry for the delay, but there are some beloved people in my life that are definitely more important to me than amule ^^
-
looks nice, import wizert and all... also Kad is in there and works well.
I even got it through YaST this time!! (either Packman or Guru)
keep up the good work! Looks smoother then ever, looks like the Icons had a little polishing too.
-
a xillion thanks; the client rocks.
omg, i didn't know there was that much (http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Changelog_2.1.0) to do, wow make that 2xillion thanks to everyone.
