Title: aMule can't connect to the Internet
Post by: Letterman on January 02, 2006, 08:13:29 PM
english:
Hi,
the new aMule starts with the message:

Amule Error
Cannot get the official hostname (error 22: Invalid argument)

It cannot connent to the internet (Mac OSX 10.4.3 @ Airport Extreme).
It can't get the server list and can't connect to any server.
aMule CSV (last 2 versions) worked correctly.

Hi,
der neue aMule startet mit der Meldung:

Amule Error
Cannot get the official hostname (error 22: Invalid argument)

Now with both (panther & Tiger and Toger only) I can get the server list.
But I still can't connect to any server and Kad doesn't connect, too.

I deleted my old aMule folders.
This didn't help.

Yes,
aMule CSV with Kad works fine.
All needed ports are forwarded.

Well, here's an account of a similar problem and one (ugly) way to work around it: http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?threadid=7587

I'll look into ways of changing aMule so that this isn't necessary.
