Title: mandriva problem (linux newbie inside)

Hello all.

I tryed several files of amule, but with no success...
I get that kind of error when I try compile myself and ./configure :

checking whether we need the GUI... yes
checking for wx-config... no
checking that wxWidgets has support for large files... no
configure: error:
                Support for large files in wxWidgets is required by aMule.
                To continue you must recompile wxWidgets with support for
                large files enabled.


So i try download wxwidgets, but it says it needs gtk+.
Ok I d/l gtk+ but it says it needs glib.
Ok bbut glib needs cario, atk pango.
I setup all this.
gtk+ ./configure still not working.


So i try use pre compiled. Its all so complicated :(

It says cant install because libwx_gtk2u_core-2.7.so.0 is not ok

Ok I try  aMule-2.1.0-1mdv.i586.rpm

same error

Now I try aMule-2.1.0-1mdv.src.rpm it's ok installation complete


What to do now?

Well anyway I think it's a bug with gtk+ thing. When I try to update using package graphic updater, I get an error on that package.
First it says that the package rpm signature is erroned (not present)
      
Then it says this if I force installtion :

Manifestement, tu as un problème de raffraichissement des dépots de paquetages.

Pour aller vite : dans une console, te signer comme root, puis les commandes suivantes :

urpmi --clear
urpmi.update -a
urpmi gtk+2.0

On peut faire de façon graphique mais c'est dix fois trop long à expliquer (Mise à jour des listes de dépots puis installation d'un paquetage dans MCC).
De toutes façons, attention, il est bien précisé que ces paquetages sont pour Mandriva 2006. Je ne garantis pas que la version requise existe sur Mandriva 2005LE

Mais c'est OK cette fois, parce que sharantyr comprend français trés bien.
