Title: aMule 2.1.0 rev 6265 - Crash
Post by: Teo2257 on January 21, 2006, 06:53:15 PM
Dear all, first of all I'd like to say hello to everybody - this is my first thread! :)

I've got a problem with my copy of aMule (2.1.0 rev 6265 on Mac OS 10.3.9): it crashes as soon as you open it; and it seems without any reason! :(
Sometimes it is after the connection to the servers, sometimes before... sometimes it work for 2/3 minutes, and then it crashes... I really cannot understand why!  ?(
Has any of you ever had any similar problem, or could anybody of you please be so kind to help me?  :) Thank you in advance  ;)

Welcome Teo2257!
Nice to 'meet' you!

Could you please start amule out of a terminal to provide some more imformations about the reason of the crash?

I remember an issue with the first Mac-binary, which only worked with 10.4.x, maybe you have to download the 'fixed' binary (http://www.amule.org/files/details.php?file=136) to start amule successfully?

I'm no Mac user, but I hope I could help you a bit on your way to successfully use aMule.

Ciao!

On some systems, the 2.1.0 binaries crash while you are downloading ipfilter.dat or server.met. It's possible that you've set your aMule to download either of the two or both at startup. I posted a CVS binary a few days ago in which this issue is fixed; you can get it here (http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?threadid=5051).

Hope this helps. :)
