Title: Amule requires X??

is there anyway to get Amule onto a non X linux and access to the web interface??

Yes, there is. (see the wiki (http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/HowTo_Compile_aMuled))
You need wxBase instead of wxGTK and you have to disable the monolithic app to successfully compile without X. Further info in the wiki. ;)

thanks.. i'll take a look at it.. hope i can get it to go on my server :) ok.. there is no 'wxBase' package.. unless i need to compile that.

ok.. i done exactly what it says, etc, etc but i can't connect to the webserver (4712) via another computer on my network. netstat -a shows the port as -waiting- any reason why i cant connect to it??

4712 is the port amuleweb (and amulecmd) uses to connect to amuled. amuleweb itself listens on 4711.

yeh i said the wrong port by accident. no matter what i do trying to connect to port 4711 will NOT work :(

how do you start amulweb?

and maybe show the netstat output here

netstat -ntlp | grep amule
