Title: Server list gives error
Post by: Horus on February 23, 2006, 07:15:22 PM
Hello,
so preset adress to get a server list http://www.gruk.org/server.met.gz seems to be invalid

"Laden der server.met '/home/florian/.aMule/server.met.download' fehlgeschlagen, unbekanntes Format aufgetreten."

"Loading of server.met '/home/florian/.aMule/server.met.download' failed. Unknown format occured."

What is wrong there?

Thanks,

Florian

And one other thing: Today the justice department took down the Razorback servers. They took the hardware etc, so beware if you only have them in your serverlist.......

the server list really do not matter at all

you can enable in amule-prefs to update the server-list once connected to

a server

and

a client

so both you allways keep your server list up2date....just get one to connect teh 1st time, and usually you never have to update it again

But if you activate any of those two options you will also have all the MPAA & RIAA fake servers get into your server list, which might not be such a hot idea...

ipfilter.dat is also a great feature of aMule :P
