I'm giving 1.2.4 a spin and would be curious to know whether it's possible to
continue my overnet downloads. Pointing at the temp dir doesn't seem to
achieve the desired effect...
Thanks in advance for any help !

hum.. i never tried it .. but i guess u must complete your dl's with overnet and switch then to amule.. i hope it's ok for you.
at least we plan to support overnet & kademlia in some months ..

Thanks for replying.
Well, since my pending downloads in Overnet have been pending for quite
a while I may try and see whether aMule can do a better job... after the first
30 minutes it seems like I can control my upload well (assigning 3x5KB slots
on a 640/128Kb link that is uncapped on upload up to the physical link speed,
which is a 892/192) while downloads from a 86-source file hasn't yet begun.
I guess I'll sleep over it and see what it has done tomorrow morning :O

if u never tried *mule u'll have to wait a bit cos of the creditsystem .. but after some time u could be really happy :)

Uhm. 355M uploaded, 0 bytes downloaded... ?(
Is there any enormous detail that a n00b coming from months
of donkeying / overnet'ing might have missed ?
-
lowid? hightid?
Also please tell us if your clients are being kicked of the upload queue. There's a nasty bug on 1.2.4, solved in CVS that might be 1.2.5 ... in some days.
-
High ID, of course :))
Now it's "improving", at 550MB up / 7MB down
I'm not sure I understand your queue question exactly. I saw two clients being
reported as "banned" without me doing anything to cause banning; is that the
piece of info you were looking for ? Both were "new MLDonkey".

No, look at statistics. How many failed upload sessions?
-
Stats so far:
uploaded 670MB
downloaded 37MB
total successful upload sessions: 33
total failed upload sessions: 10

Hum. Then it's credits related.

It looks like it was, indeed. Downloads finally picked up and at the
moment I'm peaking at 53KB down while keeping a steady 15KB up.
Recent Overnet cores pick up much faster than this (it took aMule
12 hours before getting d/l speed over 5KB), but I have no hurry :]
Thanks !

But next time you start aMule, your credits will already be there and you'll start downloads faster.
