I want to 'reset' my aMule, so that if I search for a particular file, it doesn't show some results in black/blue and some in red. I want my aMule to forget what it's already downloaded, so all results appear in anything but red.
Is it possible?

Sure, just delete the file ~/.aMule/known2.met (and possibly known2_64.met if you are running a SVN version) and amule will forget about it's download history. Make sure you stop amule before deleting that file.

Many thanks, thedude0001!

BTW, in MacOS X 10.4.4 (Tiger) and aMule 2.0 the path is not ~/.aMule but the following:
~/Library/Application Support/aMule/

Ah, sorry about that, too early in the morning, I didn't pay attention to your OS ^^
