Post by: piarres on February 08, 2004, 03:32:46 AM
I make the first translation (automatic) and I make "msgfmt -v -o amule.mo source_strings.po", I put the mo file in /usr/share/locale/eu/LC_MESSAGES/ (there is the path to locales in debian) but my edonkey dont change nothing  ?(

I like work with the "work" program semi translated to see my advances and verify translation stile.

I cant test the file :?

Im using amule 1.2.4

thx

You need aMule CVS (search forums for download instructions) or aMule 1.2.5 (wait 1 or 2 days)

This is for any I make uin the file ? If no Can you fix this ?

True :(

But the strings are well formed to be translated !

Code: [Select]
bash-2.05b$ grep "Source Dropping" *.cpp
muuli_wdr.cpp:    wxStaticText *item3 = new wxStaticText( parent, ID_TEXT, _("Source Dropping"), wxDefaultPosition, wxDefaultSize, 0 );

So we have to investigate further...

Eskerrik asko! I'm very happy to see the basque translation up-to-date again. :D

Ah, the language "Hebrew" was added recently, but it is not yet in your translation file. Could you please later (in about an hour) download the updated translation file from http://www.amule.org/translations and add this string, too? Then we would have a 100% complete Basque translation. :)

Hi piarres,

Thanks a lot for the update, it's committed now. :) Furthermore, I've checked the plural header and you've got a green checked for euskara now. :)

kind regards

btw: "Langabezian nago." (or similar, I don't know how to write it) means "I'm unemployed.", doesn't it?

Thank you piarres, I've committed your update. :) Your translation has the great honour of revision 10000 in aMule's source control.

Oh, it seems we changed the translation source while you were updating, there are a few untranslated and fuzzy strings. It would be great if you could have a short look at it.

I don't know if I should go weeping in a corner or start laughing maniacally. :(

A certain "Main Developer, Elder Admin and particularly Lazy bastard" is promising us for more than a year that the big GUI update is just around the corner and we're forbidden from touching the GUI under penalty of having to maintain a JAVA port of EC.
Until he isn't done, there won't be a new release. Once he is done, expect a new release soon™.

Hi piarres,

No, currently not. I believe we have the technical basis already, but some little steps were still missing. GonoszTopi was doing some work on amuleweb, maybe he knows more.

Sure I do.

Currently the PHP engine has all the necessary tools to build web templates with NLS support. Unfortunately template writers are not yet using these, and thus translations don't yet exist.

To be honest, even that wouldn't solve the problem, because a security issue keeps the above tools disabled  :-\

Whoops, should have checked that before committing. (I can't just make because I'm running msgmerge in Windows here.)

You can't change the order of the parameters in the format specification.
You actually can since 10459. But you have to use the "indexed argument syntax":
Code: [Select]
msgid "Command '%s' with pid '%d' has finished with status code '%d'."
msgstr "'%2$d' pid-a duen '%1$s' komandoa '%3$d' egoera kodeaz amaitu da."

Thanks for the example. I have updated the translation and check it with msgfmt (I forgot test the last file sorry):

Quote
pi@Zerbi:~/deskargak$ msgfmt -v -c -o /dev/null eu.po
452 itzulitako kate.

I hope all is ok this time

Strange. I tried make in Ubuntu with the old version and didn't get an error, though I could reproduce the problem using msgfmt in Windows.

Anyway, new version is fine. Committed, thank you!  :)
