Title: Multi-user Web Interface and search in "search results"
Post by: SinDromX on March 20, 2006, 10:22:58 PM
Hi, it would be great if Amule had an improved Web Interface, allowing multi-user login (Try NeoMule to see, it's great but on Windows only :()

Plus, if it is possible (please :baby:), sometimes i don't want to search a precise file in a search result, would it be possible to allow the user to do something like a "CTRL-F" (lol, Windows again :p) to search in a pannel (like search result :]) and find precisely the file i'm looking for?

Thanx a lot :D

Multi-user: Try the forums search, we had this request several times including several discussions on why this is hard to implement.

Searching in search results: In amule you can activate "filtering" on the search results which does exactly what you ask for, though I have no idea if this is implemented in amuleweb (then again using the browsers search function might be the easier way to go there).

And CTRL-F for "find" or "search" is a little more widespread than windows only, at least firefox and kate use the same shortcut ;)

IE??? Satanists!

Sorry for not searching the forums before posting :(
I'm sure I only deserve Windows as my OS but please, forgive me :baby:

I'd like to add "Great Job dudes! Thank you for your work." to the Amule's team ;)

It is implemented in almost eMule mod (for sure MorphXT), enabling "Multiuser eMule.tmpl". It has a few profile (administrator, normal user, guest - lastest not sure -), and you can restrict normal user to access only specified categories.
It is very (seriously) usefully to manager 1 emule instance at home (family scoope).

Are you using aMule with your whole family or what?
Nah. Not going to happen I believe.
