Title: Estonian translation
Post by: Vuffel on May 29, 2006, 09:48:05 PM
Hi!

Seems that previous work is "lost"  ?(
Currently attached version of et_EE based on current 2.1.2

Enjoy!

hmm again, check if your translation is in cvs, it wont make it into the minor release of 2.1.2 since its only applyed to cvs,

since the sources from cvs and teh minor releases are different!

Yet another update !!

BTW. Do we have some translators freeze, befor new version is ready ?
Or at least timeguid(dead)line for translators?
Title: Re: Estonian translation
Post by: wuischke on November 17, 2007, 09:08:40 AM
Well, we have no release schedule as everything is pretty much unpredictable at the moment. E.g. Kry wants to change the code in a way that it should fix an important bug, but he is currently busy with real life stuff. I'm sorry.

But as soon as we know - or at least can predict - a release date, we are going to tell all the translators.

And thanks for the translation, I've uploaded the new version.

I have a question about plurals in Estonian:

In our translation file there all forms with a number bigger than '1' plural forms. Internet sources state all numbers except '1'. Which one is correct, i.e. is 0 of something formed with the plural or the singular form? (In English: 0 strings or 0 string?)

It is quite complicated but could used as following :
multiple (including 0) strings/units
1 string/unit

I've updated the translation, too. Thanks a lot!

btw: It feels so ... wrong to use a graphical user interface to commit svn files. Particularly because it actually takes longer.

No, please update your translation as often as you want.

I'm just too cheap to get a blog to whine in an appropriate format. I was using Windows and TortoiseSVN in contrast to command line svn and it took a lot longer, particularly because I had to use the command line to test the translation anyway.

Hi Vuffel,

I had some problems with merging, for some reason there were some translations missing which existed in previous versions and I tried to correct this. Could you please check if the following translations are correct?
Quote
msgid "Using amuleweb in '%s'."
msgstr "Kasutan amulewebi '%s'."

msgid "Shutting down aMule..."
msgstr "Seiskan aMule ..."

msgid "Do you really want to exit aMule?"
msgstr "Kas sa tõesti tahad aMule'st väljuda?"
Anyway, thanks for your work, we have now aMule translated to 100% in Estonian again. :)
