gentoo amuled => cpu 90%
« on: October 11, 2006, 02:22:48 PM »

Hi, my configuration is the following:
athlon xp 3000+ with 1,5 gb ram and sata disks. My OS is gentoo 2006.1

I've just installed amule 2.1.2 from gentoo ebuild with

USE="amuled gtk remote stats" emerge amule

I've ran amule and It takes 40% of cpu load.

But I've always used amuled, so I started it and nothing strange matters.

But the cpu load now is 90%:
amuled loads 90% of the cpu.
This is the top command on my linuxbox:

Amuled takes only 40% and amuled 90%.I can't believe it!

Any suggestion?

I can remember with slackware 10.2  I had no problems with amuled!

Thanks.

Maybe amuled is hashing files???
Let it run for a while and look again.

After that problems I installed from source amule 2.1.3 and the installation was fine.
I remove my ~/.aMule directory and run again amule, it takes some time to hash files and after It crashed.
So I have ran amuled for the first time and It has taken some times with high cpu load, but maybe when you launch amuled for the first time IT (  I  don't know why ) have to rehash the files.
Now the cpu seems less loaded and evrerything is fine, except sometimes, after some hours of activity amuled and amule ( of course one of the two , once at time ) crashes and It give me a backtrace.
