Cannot connect

Can anyone help me connect to this thing.  My G4 ran this just by starting it.  I now have an Intel Mac.  I've done everything suggested in the "read this first" messages of this forum.  I was able to find files I could not find anywhere else with this program.  Would like very much to get it running again.  Tried running it with and without rosetta.  When I connect manually to a server, it says its connecting but never does.  I can be contacted directly at ccheeks1@excite.com.  Thanks

First, on an Intel Mac you must use the Universal build of aMule.  Running the PPC build under Rosetta has known problems.

Second, make sure you have a good server list.  Go to http://ed2k.2x4u.de and use one of the server.met files they provide.

Lastly, you may need to set up a hostname for your Mac.  There are instructions toward the end of this thread: http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?threadid=9753.
