Hi,

I am using Amule CVS Sat Jan 20 07:01:57, i installed it through apt-get in debian with this sources
deb http://www.vollstreckernet.de/debian/ testing amule
deb http://www.vollstreckernet.de/debian/ testing wx

I configured amuled , works, but if I tried to connect with amulecmd I got this message

Input/Output error
Connection Failed. Unable to connect to the specified host

and in the log file of amule I got:

2007-01-21 16:29:19: Connecting client: Unknown Unknown version
2007-01-21 16:29:19: Incorrect EC version ID, there might be binary incompatibility. Use core and remote from same snapshot.
2007-01-21 16:29:19: Unauthorized access attempt. Connection closed.

The strange thing is that if I run amule I can connect through amulecmd and the message Incorrect EC version ID doesnt appear.

Any Idea?
Could be using the package in CVS different versions of remote and core application?

Hi rlorenb!

Yes, please post the output of --version for amuled, amule and amulecmd.
Maybe you've compiled something on your own ones and there's a conflict now or we'll ask vollstrecker about the problem.

I didn´t compile any version of amule, i always used apt-get.
The --version are:

insrlb00@debian:~/.aMule$ amuled --version --only-chuck-norris-would-stop-me

aMuled CVS using wxGTK2 v2.6.1 (Snapshot: Tue Apr 18 07:01:56 CEST 2006) (OS: Linux)

amulecmd CVS using wxGTK2 v2.6.3 (Snapshot: Sun Jan 21 07:01:58 CET 2007)

insrlb00@debian:~/.aMule$ amule --version --even-if-lfroen-complains-this-will-stay
aMule CVS using wxGTK2 v2.6.3 (Snapshot: Sun Jan 21 07:01:58 CET 2007) (OS: Linux)


I don´t know why amuled uses GTK 2.6.1 instead 2.6.3 and the snapshot is dated April 2006 (I bit old) This could be the problem.
