stall/crash on startup after changing shared folder
« on: January 31, 2007, 01:54:30 PM »

hi guys,
I'm using aMule 2.1.1 on Mac OS - running stable and good till today:
I changed the folder with the shared files with a right-click to "aMule downloads" (the default download-folder). since then aMule refuses to do anything. I had to force-quit it. At a new startup aMule opens half way, but doesn't show anything in its window. processor load is 100% ...

is there any way to reset the preferences to default?

or any other workaround?

thanks in dvance

Hi moisty!

Take a look at ~/Library/Application Support/aMule and search for the file shareddir.dat. Open it with a text editor and delete every line (you don't want).
If this does not help: Rename above mentioned aMule-folder to aMule-old and try again. If it works now copy cryptkey.dat and preferences.dat from the aMule-old folder to the new aMule folder in order to preserve your credits.
