having a basic start up connection problem
« on: February 01, 2007, 06:17:33 PM »

I just got amule. I'm having some kind of basic connection problem. I used the port forwarding tester and it said everything was okay. I'm not familiar with how aMule works, so maybe I've just missed a basic step. Any help would be great.

Here's what the log says:

This means that you haven't downloaded a valid server.met file.  Try going to this site and downloading a server.met file.  Once it is downloaded, put it into ~/Library/Application Support/aMule and start aMule.

There's a bug which we haven't figured out yet.  The above error should be benign, but seems to prevent aMule from connecting to servers.  See this thread for all the gory details.
