Positions moved?
« on: June 06, 2007, 11:20:30 AM »

The aMule wiki says: "That's the queue position you have on that client for that specific file. Not all clients provide such information, so in some cases, nothing is displayed.

The number in brackets is the amount of positions you have "moved" through that client's upload queue. Negative numbers stand for positions you have won in the queue since you were added while positive numbers mean positions you've lost since you were added. Notice that when that number is negative, it is displayed blue, while when it's positive, it's displayed red.
"

However, I only see numbers in black and a zero between brackets. I go up and down the queues, but aMule does not seem to notice it. I remember it did before, I saw negative blues and positive reds; but i reinstalled in my new computer and that behaviour disappeared. Now I am using aMule 2.1.3 (I do not remember the version I used before. I do not have that machine anymore). :-(

Is this the normal behaviour or is there anything wrong with my aMule?

These numbers only appear once a change occured. This may take more than 30 minutes.

Sorry for not being clear about this. These numbers never appear: not in 30 minutes, not in 24h.

The numbers do change: sometimes I am the 2861th in the queue, later I am the 129th and sooner or later the downloading starts. But if you look at the numbers (extended view in transfer window) it looks like they never change or, in other words, they are never red or blue, nor there is a <positive/negative> number between brackets. They are always something like 2884 (0)... 1832 (0), 411 (0)... 609 (0); not something like 2884 (0)... 1832 (-1052), 411 (0)... 609 (198).

I hope I managed to explain it more clearly now. :-)

OK, did you check all options in the preferences?

I'm unfortunately unable to see for myself (no computer equipped with usable operating systems here...), but shouldn't you find any option I would appreciate if you could fill in a bug report at bugs.amule.org and I'll have a look at it as soon as I return from my vacation.

Sorry for taking so long to answer, but this seems to be working alright in current developmental versions.

It always worked ok. The number changes when there is a change on the position, and stays the same when there's none, since the last check. So, sometimes you'll see changes, sometimes you'll see no changes. That simple.
