If a client allows others to view it's list of shared files, that client should be marked in aMule client lists (e.g. queue list) so that one has not to test all clients for their share lists. At the moment, it's always a shot in the dark, that's annoying because nearly all clients do not allow their shared files list to be viewed. So the rare ones that do should be marked. When two clients connect, they should send a bit that says if viewing shared files list allowed or not.

That would require a protocol modification, AFAIK. Also, we would require the other clients (shareaza, eMule, mldonkey, etc) to implement the same feature, which seems improbable.

who defines the protocol? Maybe it should be discussed with emule project - if they alter the protocol, others will follow. i do not have an account there because i only use linux.
at the moment the "view files" feature is practically useless so there should something be done.

It's done as of tomorrow's SVN.

The clients that are using standard clients and have disabled the view of shared files show that entry as disabled in the pop-up menu. That doesn't mean everyone will answer to that, as clients can of course lie.

Also I added a column on client list for fast lookup.
